The Bukowski Tapes (’82-’84)

The Charles Bukowski Tapes are a collection of 50 improvised monologues with the American writer/poet Charles Bukowski, filmed and assembled by Barbet Schroeder and first published in 1987 in the USA. In total more than four hours long, the tapes consist of 52 short interviews with Bukowski discussing a variety of subjects. Today the video documentary is considered a cult classic amongst fans of Bukowski around the world.
